Theatre Sports

On Monday, 15 June 2009, the Pre-Teens went to watch Theatre Sports in Cape Town.  It was a very enjoyable time. We were very glad to see Yvette Pelser perform that night! Many thanks to our drivers Celeste and Heather. 

 

Soccer Game

On Tuesday, 16 June 2009, the Pre-Teens played a  soccer game with Apostle Leigh Collins being the coach, ref and photographer! The two teams: Tigers and Cheetahs, played a very close game. Great potential was shown and the game ended just as the rain came down. Many thanks to Leigh for all his help.

After the game, we went back to church, had a McDonald Meal and watched a DVD. Many thanks to Londel who help to set up the DVD. It was a great day! Check out the photos.

Pre-Teens Notice

Please take note of the following:
  • Dress rehearsal - 14 June after 10:00 service
  • MBC Concert – 14 June, Pre-Teens sing their new song   
  • Theatre Sports – 15 June, everyone is to meet at church at 19:45.  This is an opportunity to invite friends. Please confirm how many people will be going as I have to book Monday morning.
  • Soccer and DVD – 16 June, everyone to meet at church at 10:45. Come in comfortable clothes. Bring pillow and sleeping bag etc, to be comfy when watching DVD (at church). Please confirm how many will be there as we will be providing a burger and drink. If you want anything else bring extra money. Kids to be fetched at 14:30.
VERY IMPORTANT – PLEASE DOWNLOAD RELEASE FORM FROM THE DOCUMENTS PAGE ON THIS WEBSITE, COMPLETE IT AND GIVE IT TO ME AT THE CONCERT OR ON MONDAY.  All Pre-Teens need to hand in a release form.

If any parent is willing to help with transport on Monday night, please contact me by Friday 12 June.

Pre-Teens Newsletter - April 2009

Dear Parents

It is a joy and an honour to spend time with the Pre -Teens group. We meet on the third Sunday of every month, at the 10 am service. At the moment, we are looking at the book of Romans. Praise God, we no longer have to live under the law but have been justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus!

It is also important to have fun and fellowship together, that’s why I have a few activities planned this term e.g. soccer game, watching DVDs, playing 30 seconds, attending a theatre sports evening (where Yvette Pelser performs) etc. For any activity, we will first meet at the church and transport to a venue, will be provided by the church. Please complete the release form, which is required for any outing and return it to me next Sunday. The Pre - Teens will also be doing a performance at the next MBC Concert in June. An evening not to missed!

Proposed Dates:

  • 14 May – Theatre Sports
  • 16 June – Scoccer and DVDs
  • 21 June – MBC Concert

Refining Worship Conference:

All children are welcome at the Refining Worship Conference held on
the 30 April – 2 May. The workshops during the day are free to children
under 12 years old.

Next Meeting:

  • Next Pre- Teens meeting will be on 17 May!
